Menard Announces Opening of Gulf Coast Office Effective in May, DGI-Menard, Inc. (Menard) opened a new office in Metairie, LA. The office address is 3501 N. Causeway Blvd., Suite 300, Metairie, LA 70002. The office phone number is (504) 836-7412 x-350. According to Marty Taube, director of business development for Menard, a large portion of the company's ground improvement projects are based in the Gulf Coast region. "Our techniques, including Controlled Modulus Columns (CMCs) and wick drains are very well suited for the soft ground that is present throughout the region," says Taube. Get to Know Marty Taube joined Menard in December 2004 as the director of business development and the general manager for wick drain projects. For wick drain projects, Marty's responsibilities include estimating, proposal preparation, construction submittal document preparation, project planning and coordination, project management, and contract negotiation. Marty has overseen numerous wick drain projects throughout the Gulf Coast. Prior to joining Menard, Marty worked for Nicholson Construction Company, Michael Baker Corporation, Orbital Engineering, Inc., and the US Army Corps of Engineers. Marty earned his B.S. in Geophysics from Virginia Tech. He earned his M.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering (Geotechnical Engineering) from the University of Pittsburgh. Marty is a registered professional geologist and engineer. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, Louisiana Engineering Society, the Deep Foundation Institute, and Engineers Without Borders. |
