The Dynamic CompactionTM technique achieves deep ground densification using very high energy waves. The Dynamic Compaction technique was invented and developed by Mr. Louis Menard and Menard Soiltreatment.

Pounders weighing 15 to 40 tons are released in free fall from a height of 30 to 120 feet. The arrangement of the impact points and the other parameters of the treatment (energies, phasing, rest periods) depend on the characteristics of the soil to be treated and on the results of the trial zone.

Dynamic Compaction is used for the foundations of buildings or to stabilize large areas of embankments or roadways on loose soil. Dynamic compaction is commonly used to densify buried land fill materials.
